No. You paste a bot token from BotFather, choose a processor, and set your plans. Setup takes a few minutes. If you can configure a payment link, you can run Gatefather.
Directly into your processor account. Gatefather never holds your funds, never escrows, never holds back a payout. We only read the receipt from your processor’s webhook and translate it into channel access.
Payments still settle to your processor. Existing subscribers keep their access. We fail closed on issuing new invites, not on honoring existing access. When we’re back, processor webhooks are retried and each payment is processed exactly once.
Always. Download your members, subscriptions, and payment history as CSV files from Settings at any time. Your bot, your channel, and your processor relationship are all in your name. Cancellation revokes our access, not yours.
They’re handled in your processor account, since Gatefather never sits in the money flow. You can cancel a member’s subscription, with an optional refund, from your dashboard.
When a subscription lapses past its grace period, your bot (not ours) removes the member through Telegram. Removal happens within the hour. They keep their DMs with the bot and can re-subscribe at any time without losing history.

Gatefather is a payments-and-access platform for creators of every kind. CCBill, Segpay, and NOWPayments are supported alongside Stripe, PayPal, and Telegram Stars, so you can pick the processor that fits your content. We do not host content; your channel is your jurisdiction. We expect every operator to follow Telegram’s rules and the law in their country.
